I recently attended an event I was invited to by one of our fabulous clients who was a major sponsor. It was the Caritas Australia ‘Women for the World’ fundraising lunch – a brilliant luncheon for deeply a humanitarian purpose.
We learned about what Caritas are doing in the fight against human trafficking. We heard from Rupa Rai, who works with Caritas in Nepal as ambassador for anti trafficking – as girls as young as 9 are being tricked into leaving Nepal and finding themselves in brothels – sickening!
It was an inspiring and sad day all at the same time and wonderful to hear what Caritas and Church Resources are doing to create change.
