s I was clearing my email I found this interesting article from one of my favourite people – The Purpose Fairy – and she opened her blog with this wonderful quote:
“Don’t take anything personally. Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream. When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you won’t be the victim of needless suffering.” ~ Don Miguel Ruiz
How empowering is it for us to think and feel this way about the negativity we all get exposed to from time to time? For some of us it can be more often than we would like. To see this as a reflection of their reality and not take responsibility ourselves. Now this is very different as many of us do fall into the role of victim as we see the other person as the persecutor.
Let’s flip out of this kind of thinking – how empowering!
