Listening to Body and Soul on radio 106.5 I heard an interview about de-cluttering your house……and I believe it is equally valid for de-cluttering your mind. The first thing is to finish the cycle – like washing in a machine it gets pretty smelly if you leave it in the machine wet for a few days after the cycle is actually complete. This is the same for your
mind – deal with tasks and people until you have finished the cycle. This means have all the conversations you know you need to have.
And then forget about later – drop the concept and the idea of waiting to do things and have conversations “later”. This means your mind is free to focus on the present.
I plan to try this simple technique over the next few weeks. I’ll share how I go and would love to hear other stories.
